Army Unearth Militant Hideout Near LoC In J&K, Seize Arms And Ammunitions.

09|June|2013::A defense spokesman said today that a militant hideout located very near to the Line of Control (LoC) in Macchil sector of Jammu and Kashmir has been unearthed by the Army. He added that a huge quantity of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the hideout.
"Acting on a tip off, a cache of warlike stores, hidden 200 to 300 metres inside the LoC, was recovered by the Army in Machhil sector yesterday," the spokesman said.
The arms and ammunition were hidden in a "natural opening in the hollow of a tree trunk", he added.
The spokesman said that Army personnel recovered one AK-56 rifle with three magazines and 90 rounds, two pistols (Pakistan and Chinese make), two RPG shells and explosives packed in two cylindrical cases from the hideout.
On Friday, one Indian soldier was killed in n Mandi area of Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir when Pakistani troops opened fire violating ceasefire.
Earlier this year, two Indian soldiers were killed and their bodies were mutilated.
